Free Fast True People Finders

There may be no need to pay for information on people you’re attempting to find as many online resources contains searchable data at least for basic information like date of birth, birth place and age, height, address, schools attended, occupation and employment history, biography, spouse and children’s names, ex-spouses, famous quotes, social-media profiles – Any information that has been added somewhere on the WWW is probably available in some database. Here are a few options for free fast true people search that may not be quite so apparent:

Google may have up to 30,000,000,000 (trillion) web pages indexed, making it the largest depository of information about all entities – individuals as well as organizations and businesses. Over time Google has become more proficient at returning relevant search results and can be a good first place to begin the quest for fast true people searching.

Give it a whirl. See what information Google might have on you by entering your first and last name. Too many results? Not near the top of search listings? Add your middle initial or middle name, or surname. Try adding other ‘filters’ like age or date of birth. With each added filter the number of search returns should decrease and the search results should be more accurate. You might be surprised as to how many institutions hold information about you in their searchable databases – county records for property ownership, criminal records, news articles, dating and social-media sites, universities and schools, churches, credit-reporting agencies. Looking for someone else? Check obituaries. Looking for stars? Search the IMDB (Internet Movie Database). Search a specific site using Google and this search format: ‘site:facebook.com searchtarget’ which would look in the entire Facebook searchable database for the phrase ‘searchtarget’ so replace that with your name. ‘site:facebook.com your name’.

Good reasons (other than narcissism) for searching for yourself is to know what others can find out about you and to have the opportunity to correct misinformation. Perhaps most importantly, find the URL address for any county in which you lived (like www.co.dallas.tx.us) and search ‘site:www.co.dallas.tx.us myname’ to see if you are in that county’s database. Past arrests, tax issues, property records might be discovered.

Heads up. Most searches return sites at the top of the page which have paid for priority placement. The owners of those sites have paid Google for example for the opportunity to catch your attention first, so most often, they have something to sell and may not even be relevant to your search parameters. in Google look for a green rectangle with ‘Ad’ to identify sites attempting to sell some product or service. Search engines are eager to take the advertising dollar and don’t make much of an effort to prevent pay-for-play sites from showing up in your search for free fast true people search

With 2.4 billion monthly active users, Facebook is a huge collection of data on people and entities. Just click in the search box at the top of the Facebook page and enter a name. Where available pictures will be displayed with a variety of info like name, location, company, posted comments, shares and reviews. A button is conveniently located to add the person as a friend or send a message. Scrolling down reveals pictures, associates and related searches (similar names suggesting possible matches).

Clicking the link to a person or company opens his/her or its Facebook page with a plethora of details like city and state, where from, photos, names and pictures of friends, posts (comments placed by people with authorization to do so), and an opportunity to open a live chat session. The About page can reveal work and education, places lived, contact and ‘basic info’, family and relationships, details about the person or entity and ‘life events’ – if available. The More tab leads to things liked, like videos, check-instructions, sports, music, movies, tv shows, books, like, events, questions, reviews and notes. The 3 periods to the right of ‘Following’ provide options to block, invite a like to your page, find support or report the profile. The Friends tab has get notifications, close friends, acquaintances, add to another list and unfriend.

It is rumored that ‘the government’ (one or more of the alphabet organizations) either started or took over this website as a way of collecting tons of information about individuals, companies and organizations. Imagine getting ‘everyone’ to volunteer personal information, history, political beliefs, membership in organizations, secrets even, unwittingly to big brother. Talk about ‘ fast true people search’.

The Facebook website has some interesting if not addicting features. The big adrenaline rush may be ‘Who likes me? Who approves of me? How many likes to do I have? Oh no, who unfriended me?’ Heads of such sites have admitted to knowingly creating a product of addiction and whether they admit it or not, the numbers tell the story.

It’s a social-validation feedback loop … exactly the kind of thing that a hacker like myself would come up with, because you’re exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology.

  33. Click OK.
  34. Click on Test Account Settings. If all settings are correct, this window will appear showing success:
  35. If not successful, the most common errors are typos, not using the full email address for the User Name and entering the wrong (case-sensitive) Password.

Why Are Outlook Messages Stuck In Outbox?

There is a long list of reasons why outlook messages are not sending. Outlook has a few of its own snafus.

  • The email account isn’t set up (correctly):
  • In Outlook go to Tools > Account Settings > New and create the new account. For correct settings search Google for ‘smtp settings’ + [the name of your email client] like ‘smtp settings Outlook’. Once completed click on Test Account Settings. If either send or receive or both fail, it may take some effort to pay attention to details to achieve correct settings. The primary errors are using (or not using) the full email address for the User Name, wrong Password and incorrect POP3 and/or SMTP addresses.

  • Is Outlook in Offline Mode?
  • Click on File then uncheck ‘Work Offline’ if it is checked (activated).

Click on More Settings and again, acquire the correct settings from the search results above.

  • One message sends from the same account but another doesn’t go out.
  • Try sending the email without an attachment. If it sends, the attachment was the issue. Cheap (free) email services like Yahoo limit attachments to 2MB. Gmail is 25MB. If you’re using ‘free email services’ for your business then there lies ‘the problem with email’.

  • The attachment wasn’t the problem.
  • Some email programs are very fussy about the To: Address. There can be no punctuation or ‘mailto’ included in the address. Outlook (being the trashed-out program that it is) will get cantankerous over how the To: Address was entered. If the address was selected from the list of suggested addresses, check the address (by using another email service), or type the address instead of selecting it from the list of suggested addresses. Sometimes replying to an email fails because the email address was not entered correctly from the sender. (Anyone can enter anything in the From: Field when sending an email. That’s a common practice among spammers.)

  • Outlook Outgoing Messages Wont Send
  • Another issue with Outlook is settings seemingly changing without our knowledge. RIGHT click on the email sitting in the out box and select Message Options. Remove the check in ‘Do not deliver before’ and click Close. Click on Send/Receive to see if this was the issue. See if you can determine why the message was marked for ‘delayed send’: Open a new blank email. Before entering anything, check Delayed Send to see if there is an entry. If so consider deleting any rules related to delayed sending.

  • Other Causes
  • There may be a rule that is governing sent messages. Click on Tools > Rules and Alerts and look for a rule starting with ‘Delay’. If it shouldn’t be there, select it and press Delete.

Conversely, it may be useful to make the program hold sent messages in the outbox for a period of time you specify (giving time for afterthoughts, changes, regrets…). To delay the sending of all emails by a designated amount of time, click on New > Check messages after sending > Next > Next > Yes (to ‘This rule will be applied to every message you send. Is this correct?’). Check ‘defer delivery by a number of minutes’. Enter the number of minutes to delay and click Next. To have the program ignore the delay for messages you mark as ‘High Important’ check ‘except if it [the message] is marked as importance’. In the bottom window click on ‘importance’ and choose ‘High’. Click Next and type a name for the rule. Start with ‘Delay’ so the rule can be found more easily later on. Make sure ‘Turn on this rule’ is checked. Click Finish.

  • A Trick
  • When an email is stuck in the outbox, move it to the inbox, click to reopen it, click Send. Click on Send/Receive to see if it gets sent. This has worked sporadically. Sorry: Can’t say why.

  • New Discovery – Recorded Addresses (Autocomplete)
  • Remember the email address of the recipient in the To: Field. Remove it and start typing the address one letter or number at a time. If the email address is saved in Outlook’s AutoComplete list, see if the troubled email address has quotes before and after it. If so, continue complete all but the last letter of the email address then use the down arrow if necessary to scroll down to the saved address with quotes and hit the delete. Type the last letter of the email address and send it.

  • Outlook Messages Not Being Sent
  • Move the message(s) to the drafts folder. Click on File then Work Offline. Open the message(s) in Drafts and resend them, making sure the To: address isn’t encased in single quote marks. (If it is, double click on the address, copy the address without quotes, remove the address from the To: field and past the address into the To: field. Send. Go back to File and remove ‘Work Offline’. Messages might send after this round of hoop jumping. If not, try holding your mouth in a different way and try again.

Fairly often the resolution has been to send the email via another client (like web mail) and delete the message from Outlook. Of course that doesn’t discover a solution to the issue.

  • Another Discovery: When an email gets ‘stuck’ right click on it in the outbox and click forward. The email will still be addressed to the same recipient(s) and seems to go out without a hitch. Delete the stuck version.
  • Also, removing all rules related to delayed sending now allows messages to go out right away.

These discoveries were made after the bomb went off on this computer uninstalling the trial version of Office 365. At first it looked like the calamity required an update of Outlook to 2013 which was done. That wouldn’t work with Template Phrases so Outlook 2007 was restored and all 51,000 emails had to be downloaded from the server again. Then permissions became a problem making it necessary to activate the ‘super administrator’ account and run programs from that account, requiring all 51,000 emails to be downloaded from the server again. Friggin’ Microsoft!

Outlook Email Sending Blank Messages

Unfortunately the mistake was made recently to take Microsoft up on a free-trial offer of MS Office 365. When the program was removed it totally destroyed the functionality of Office 2007 Outlook, forcing an upgrade to Office 2013. Surely MS is aware of this possibility so it stands that ‘they’ are knowingly distributing 365 with the intent of blowing out previous editions of Office.

Ok, pay the ransom and off to using the much-improved new program, Office 2013. Not. After 5 days of testing and suspecting anti-virus programs, firewalls and aliens from outer space as causes, it was discovered that the shortcuts that lead to saved emails using 2007 in .msg format would no longer function properly in that it was possible to open the saved emails using shortcuts but the text was being deleted from the bodies of the messages.

In searching the Internet in hope of help, it’s apparent that issues like this have existed for years with no clear remedies being offer, particularly by the source creating the problem! A solution was never found. It should that be that difficult.

It was however discovered that it became necessary to open each saved email in .msg format and save it to .oft (office template) format, create a shortcut to it and amend properties as desired (naming the shortcut, changing the icon, etc.).

Yet another fiasco from one of the richest men in America, doled out with all the carelessness of a rodeo bull rider… Lesson learned (again): Run trial software on a computer that isn’t an integral part of daily business.

Mass Bulk Email Zoho Accounts Contacts

Perhaps you’ve found no easy answer in Zoho Help for mass or bulk emailing Accounts, Contacts, Prospects or Leads. These instructions pertain to Accounts. Sending e-mail to other groups may vary somewhat.

Use filters in Zoho to determine the group of people who are to receive a message saved in an email template.

Create an Email Template

  1. In Zoho click on Setup
  2. Click on Mail-Merge Templates:
  3. Create Template in Zoho Writer
  4. Give the template a name (and description).
  5. Indicate the location where the template will be stored.
  6. Select the Module and click Create.
  7. Compose the email.
  8. Go to Tools > Mail Merge > Insert Merge Field to enter mail-merge fields.
  9. There is no save button. The document will auto save when the screen in closed and the saved document will appear on the ensuing screen.

Define Email Recipients

  1. Go to Accounts on the main menu.
  2. Directly under accounts hover over the field just below Accounts and select ‘Create View’.
  3. Type a name for the View.
  4. If the View will be used frequently, check ‘Mark as Favorite’.
  5. Select any entry in the Selected-Columns box and Click the red x to remove it.
  6. Select an entry in ‘Available Columns’ and click Add to add it. Repeat as needed.
  7. Check who should be allowed to see the View.
  8. Under Specify Criteria click the up/down arrow in the ‘None’ box and select the criteria for defining the people to receive the email.
  9. In the box to the right, select the ‘filter’. If a numerical field was selected above, math operators will appear. Otherwise ‘if statements’ will appear. Choose one.
  10. In the last box enter the search parameter.
  11. Click on Save.

Merge Records with Email Template

  1. Saving the record will return a list of recipients. Check the box to the left of Account Name to select all records.
  2. Click the down arrow next to More Actions and press Mail Merge.
  3. On the next screen select the template for the email and click Merge.
  4. Edit the template if necessary.
  5. Note the message at the top: “Changes are saved only in current Document. Use…”
  6. To preview the mailing, go to Tools > Mail Merge > Finish and Merge > Preview Merged Document.
  7. To send the mailing, go to Tools > Mail Merge > Finish and Merge > Email Merged Document.
  8. Click on the drop-down arrow and select the Email field.
  9. A subject must be entered and can contain a field (like Hello Accounts_First_Name).
  10. Press Send.
  11. If a message appears, one or more records chosen don’t have an email address.

Microsoft Outlook Repairs

Perhaps you’ve taken MS up on a free trial of the latest and greatest MS Office product only to find that refusing to pay $99 every year for the software upgrade by removing the trial version that MS Outlook was sabotaged in the process. Presumably very intelligent people work at MS and of course they are thorough, having tested the trial version on several machines for hours upon hours before releasing the free trial, making absolutely sure that said trial would not blow up one’s computer when the trial is removed!

Not! Also, at the time the trial is offered, the bad news of having to pay annually for the new product should be disclosed so it isn’t necessary to discover that important fact AFTER the trial period and AFTER the damage has been done. Incidentally, at the end of the trial period, there was only the option to spend money on the upgrade – no option to refuse and get the damn thing off the computer.

Perhaps you’ve already found many very unuseful forum suggestions like ‘Create a new user account’ or ‘Uninstall/reinstall Outlook’. Those suggestions are ok if you don’t mind losing all current and past email records. Resetting Outlook as the default program for .msg files didn’t resolve the issue (but may have to be done somewhere along the line if the following steps don’t restore Outlook as the default program for email messages (msg)).

Fixing Not Implemented – No Email Program Associated

This is what the entry in the Windows Registry should look like in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook:

If the files below ‘Microsoft Outlook’ (Capabilities, Envelope, InstallInfo, Protocols and shell) are missing, they were probably destroyed when the Outlook trial version was removed.

Follow these instructions at your own risk, or have an IT do them. It’s always best to back up the Registry before editing it:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type regedit and then press Enter.
  3. Locate the subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook
  4. Select the subkey.
  5. Press DELETE.
  6. Click Yes.
  7. Quit Registry Editor.
  8. Start Outlook.
  9. On the Help menu, click Office Diagnostics.
  10. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair.

It may also be necessary to run C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\scanpst.exe to scan the Outlook pst file to fix file corruptions.

Making the Windows Registry change and scanning the pst file with the scan tool resolved this issue after a fair amount of time was spent searching the Internet for useful responses. Perhaps the lesson to be learned (again) is to test ‘free offers’ on machines set aside for experiments. Our misfortune was trusting Microsoft to NOT plant this bomb on our computer just so we could waste time discovering that the ‘free trial’ was actually a trap set for selling ‘software as a service’ with endless annual cost. What software provider doesn’t get the fact that people HATE paying endlessly for software no matter how it’s wrapped?

Moreover this fiasco bombed other programs, destroyed theme settings and created havoc still being discovered as rescue workers continue to sift through the rubble.
